3/31 QOTD...Weird Food.

What is one weird thing you like to eat, or something normal that you eat in a weird way?

Some may think this is weird, but I LOVE kimchee. It's pickled, spicy cabbage (& sometimes other veggies) with spice. My mom makes it the best. I could eat it from the jar

dh thinks that I am weird because I eat pickled beets. My grandmother always had them out at every meal so it is not unusual to me.

Barbecue chips with vanilla ice cream. Or mac 'n cheese with ketchup.

Soggy food grosses me out.

SO...

I can't eat cereal with milk in it...but I can't eat dry cereal without drinking milk on the side!

I also won't put syrup on my pancakes, even though I love it. I have to dip them in it otherwise they're too soggy.

BUT...

I love to put potato chips in my soup. Though I don't put many in at a time, and eat them fast before they get soggy.

Wow, Kimmy, that's a little weird. LOL.

I can't eat meats cooked with fruits. Like orange chicken. It just doesn't set well with me. Fruit & meat?

I also tried raw oysters on my vacation to DC, and loved them!

Raw oysters aren't weird, they're just nasty!!!

o.k this may or may not sound odd,but it's soooo good.
hamburger meat with shredded cabbage and vinegar and pepper...you eat it with a flour tortilla.yum-o!

o.k kimmy- i liked raw oysters when i was little .....until i choked on one.

That doesn't sound strange, Lora. My hubby is Chamorro (from Guam). They very often eat kelaguen. It's basically like ceviche but with beef. So, it's raw beef, in lemon juice, onions, and hot peppers. It sounds "weird" but it's really good...

wow! Some of these things you ladies are talking of I have never tried or heard of... and I always thought I have tried many foods from travel and friends. You have all taught me some new things, but kimmy... I don't think I could do the raw oysters

But I think the somewhat weird thing is I eat Ketchup and ranch on my tacos, but only tacos from Jack in the Box. It's rare that I eat them, but when I do it's only these tacos that I do this with... Never homemade tacos or other tacos... just the ones from Jack in the Box (fast food chain in cali).

oh, and I thought of another one... Kimmy you might like this as an alternative to your milk and cereal situation...
I love vanilla ice cream with cereal in it. I have tried different types of cereal in it, but I reall love honey bunches of oats with vanilla ice cream! No what gives this prego lady something to bounce about

OOOH!!! I like that idea Jewels. Honey Bunches is my fave cereal! Now I have got to get some ice cream and try it out!
