| OMG, today was the absolute worst field trip ever....and I have been on a lot. I have taught for 12 years and have 5 kids. OK<,,details: Took off today to go on field trip with Sage, my Kinder girl to a pumpkin patch It has been raining but they didn't tell us that it should be rescheduled due to conditions, so we went on and went. It was a 45 min. drive with 100 5/6 year olds. We get there and there was no one to greet the buses when we arrived. The bus almost gets stuck, took about 10 minutes to get it out. We find two ladies that work there...ok, two employees for 100 kids...yeah right! They tell us there are no scheduled events we are on our own...? Humm, we paid for this right. They take the check and go about their business..ok, we see a hay ride (tractor stuck in mud), a barral train ( flat tires, stuck in mud), we see jump houses (ok, 100 kids, 200 muddy shoes, 1 big big mess!~) There is a merry go round, under water, non operational. There was this giant sling shot...you shoot mini pumpkins...only thing for kids to do so a parent starts a line and starts them playing. I am taking pictures of t he whole mess and the lady that works there trudges thru the mud to walk about 1acre to get to the kids to SCREAM at them that IT COST $1 per kid to shoot 2 mini pumpkings that are reused over and over....????? OK< didn't we just give you a $100 ck and now we can't do anything but jump in the now MUD house? So when my dd teacher aproaches her about yelling at the kids, she says " I don't care, you can take your check and your kids and leave!" So.....long story we did. And did I mention that the 70 degree weather forcast was WRONG....it was 50. BRRRR!!!! So when we got back to school 4 hours later....we called LOWES and they donated 100 FREE pumpkins to the kids!!! So if you visit LOWES think about this! | |

| Oh gosh that's just awful! Those poor kids, and poor YOU! I hope you tell all the other teachers in the area so they don't go to that pumpkin patch- but if you are like us, it's the only one nearby. How nice of Lowes to donate pumpkins to the munchkins. | |

| most of the kids liked the mud but not so sure that their parents liked the muddy shoes, socks and clothes when we returned. I wore flip flops so all I had to do was wash my feet and shoes....I am so glad. I would have been peaved if my new tennis shoes would have been muddy. | |

| oh he** no! I would be calling that owner to share your experience on his/her patch and ask for a full refund. not an i'm sorry,no,half or anything but the full refund. That's just poor customer service....and I would have pulled that farmer aside away from the kids and let her know something. that's just unprofessional i don't care if you're selling a lollipop- you sell it with a smile and appreciate it....you know she was probably mad cause she had to work in that crap and perhaps, just maybe, other people had already complained and instead of rescheduling , they just said screw it and treated the next group like crap.....which happened to be your group/school...I am disappointed for you. If the kids had fun- that's all that really matters, despite the poor attitudes they had there. | |

| OMG!!! What a muddy mess...but it sounds like the kids had fun and LOWES stepped up! How cool is that!
And I agree...the owner would be getting a piece of my mind also! | |
