Nathan was woken in the middle of the night by dripping sounds in his room. There was water dripping through the ceiling near the door and the sound of a drip across the room in the corner. His bedroom is below the bathroom so we assumed there was a leak somewhere but couldn’t find any sign of anything up there. The only other possibility would be the in floor heating – tubes set in light concrete through which hot water flows. What a problem that would be. Dan cut out two parts of the ceiling and discovered that there was a pinhole leak in one of the copper pipes that runs below the bathroom floor. The water was sucked down through the plywood right across the room till it got to a low point in the ceiling and then pooled up and leaked through into Nathan’s room. At least it was easily fixed. Now we just got to let it dry out and fix the holes in the ceiling. Meanwhile , the garage door stopped working – yet another job to look forward to ….

glad it was something that you can narrow it down to quickly. water leaks are really tough to track since water travels and looks for a place to escape.

hopefully the garage door is an easy fix!
