Organization...

I am in serious need of Organization...my scraproom is so messy I can't even scrap in there anymore. Tonight my friend came over (who is seriously organized) and said she'd help...

How do you organize your scrappy stuff?? In bins, boxes, shelves???

Currently I use shelving, photo boxes & some bins. When I had a room, everything had a place... now I'm lucky if I can find anything! lol! However, my most used items are kept close at hand. Smile

Most of my paper is in the Cropper Hopper vertical paper storage. I have a bunch of brads in a 16-compartment organizer (it's really small and useful). I have four pencil cases full of flowers, and another pencil case full of my glittered--mini--regular brads. Then I have one 12x12 3-drawer organizer full of stuff and two smaller 3-drawer organizers filled with my ribbon, punches, tools and a bunch of other stuff. There's a lot of stuff on my scrap desk, too, that is easy for me to grab when needed.

thanks ladies. I think my scraproom needs a total rehaul. I have too much stuff!!

I'm thinking of getting a big 5x5 shelf from Ikea... and using bins and things to organize my stuff.

Oooo, you have an Ikea? One of my fav scrap organizational things is from Ikea. It's meant for the closet, but it works great in the scrap area. It's the Antonius system. I got the frame, drawers & the drawer inserts. Everything has it's own drawer & then I further divide it with the inserts. I also have a rod for my ribbons, & a paper storage system.

sadly we have no Ikea (or anything else) the nearest one(only one in the state!) is over 200 miles away. Sad So it will have to wait until someone I know with a truck goes down there and can pick it up for me. Looked at shipping and the shipping charge is as much as the shelving unit!

Anyone want to share some pics of there organizing tips! I love seeing Smile
Tina I would love to see your rod for ribbon!
Kimmy, target also has smaller shelving that is similar to ikea, it goes on sale every couple months. I love mine. It might hold you over until you can get to Ikea, and then you will just have more placed to organize Smile. Here is a pick of my shelving unit...
In the top left drawer I have paints and supplies for painting, in the center buttons in jars, then the right I have my cutting tools, and a few circuit cartridges.
On the second row I have a basket of my clear stamps, center in the drawer I have punches, and on the right I have flowers in jars/tubs.
On the bottom I have magazines, middle "projects I am working on," the last draw I have things to alter or give away.

Very nice, Jewels! I'll bet your scrap room is adorable! I'll share mine when I get back to my place, we're hanging out with my folks this weekend.

Kimmy, the shipping @ Ikea is rough, yes? I've always loved their stuff, but not their shipping. When we were in Central TX last year I got my fix on Ikea since there was one about 45 mins away in Austin.
