When you purge...

...your scrapbook stuff, that is. What do you do with it? I just went through & took out all the stuff I really don't see myself using & I don't know what to do with it!

Usually, I let my friends go through it and take what they want, but at this point, they have so much stuff, it's not that tempting to any of us to get each other's extras!

If it's in decent condition, you can do a blog giveaway, but then you have to do postage.

I had a friend, when she moved, took pics of a pile of what would fit in a flat rate shipping box, and then offered the stuff up for whoever wanted to send her $ for the shipping on several of the forums she belonged to. Then people could see what they were getting.

Or, you could sell it as a lot on ebay. Then you get your shipping, plus some, but that's a pain if you aren't an ebayer already.

i'm in the same boat. i don't drop it at goodwill cause sad but, people who go in there don't usually scrap. i will probably donate it or something. my friends have more crap than i do!

I have a couple of friends who go through it, and then my oldest daughter & her friend go through it... what's left I'll donate to the school.

some of it I let my kids use, friends, and you can offer it to a church children's ministry or school art class.

It's not just that--if it's paper that isn't in a package, they will generally just throw it away!

And the same with our supply closet at church, Jewels--they DON'T want any extra stuff in there!

Some I give to my dds to play with, some that is new but not my style I use in RAKS etc.

I've given a lot to my kids for their craft drawer, but I think I might just do a RAK. Thanks for all your ideas ladies

I use it for prizes for crops and things... I often buy things or win things and don't even open them so they go in my prize bag... stuff that's been slightly used I talk to school and let my kids use on the scrapbook journals (which we haven't done for months). Sometimes at local crops we do trades and things. MY friend's nice has just gotten into scrapbooking so I gave her some of my old stuff too.

We're suppose to purge???? Just kidding, the last time I went through my stuff I boxed up what I didn't want and gave it to my niece who is just starting to dabble in it.
