Today ended up being a biggie for me...I formally resigned from my job. I cried, but in the end, I know I'm making the right choice for my family. I'll still be doing some adjunct work in the fall, so it won't be a complete break, but I'll only be away from home for 2 or 3 hours a week instead of 45.

Kimmy, I teach math at a local college. I'm finishing out the summer quarter (6 more weeks), but I wanted to give my boss, the dean, as much time as possible to find someone to take my classes for our fall quarter.

Dawn, I am sure that is so so hard! I stopped teaching when my kiddies were born, and there are days I miss it so much!!! I will pray for a smooth transition! I am sure you will enjoy more time at home too!
