DT duties

All of them in the poll are the most important. Why? Because they have to be cohesive to make it fun,creative,and work. You can have the nicest layout ,but if you aren't talking and brewing ideas-then it kind of kills the enthusiasm and people leave. ...of course, that is ONLY my opinion,unless others think likewise. I figure when your part as a DT is done with your assignments for the day (so-to-speak)then you can sit and look pretty,but I bet you'll look more like this.... heehee!

We are supposed to pick just one?? Personally, I think all of those things are important. My personal opinion... DT members should have a major presence on the message board and in the gallery by starting & replying to threads, posting & participating in challenges, loading items into the gallery as well as leaving praise for other projects in the gallery. They should be helpful & supportive, but never feel or act like they are better than those that didn't happen to make the DT. Everyone has their own unique style and it should be nutured and encouraged.

Behind the scenes, (again my personal opinion) DT Members should help out the owner of the message board/gallery by meeting deadlines, helping with challenges, contests & on-line crops & by moderating the boards & gallery to keep it a pleasant place to be.

Again... all just my personal opinion!

I'm with you Robin...I found it extremely difficult to pick just one duty. In my opinion, it is extremely important for a DT individual to 'promote, develop, create and encourage' the site.

The DT should promote the site in a very positive manner; ie. through your blog, friends, other sites (when possible). They should also develop a strong presence on the site; ie. daily posting and replying both on the message board and in the gallery. The should always be willing to assist the site owner in challenges, contests, new threads, crops. They should have some creativity (understanding that creativity is totally subjective). They should be able to use the kit materials in a way that both sells the product and promotes the site. Finally, they should ALWAYS - ALWAYS encourage one another! Be a friend and HAVE FUN with their duties as a DT member!

They are all important, but I chose leaving praise in the gallery. There's nothing like seeing some love left on a LO that you slaved over. For me it kind of keeps the creative juices flowing. kwim?

Exactly...It was very difficult to pick just one. They are all important.

You want to see creative projects from the kits to inspire purchase.
You want the message board active so that people continue to come back...which will keep them exposed to new kit announcements.
You need to leave praise to all members so they feel supported and therefor also inspired to come back.

I've been around a couple of boards...The boards are active during the dt search, then dies off and only the dt is on. For the boards that remain active after the search...new daily threads are started, the gallery is hoping with new projects and praise, and there are tons of challenges and inspiration to be found.

I agree they are ALL critical to a successful site!!!!
